The GREEN family of Bedfordshire
« on: Friday 25 June 21 12:08 BST (UK) »
Hi

I am descended from Benjamin Green b Thurleigh 1810, who emigrated to Australia with his family in 1847. He had a brother William who emigrated to the US, and one (maybe 2?) brothers and some sisters who stayed in Bedfordshire. Their parents were Richard and Mary.

A lot of the tree is documented in 'A Green Tree' which I have seen mentioned in other threads and I was lucky enough to be given a copy 20 years ago.

I would like to contact other members of the tree-  I'm sure there is much to know of our family beyond this document.

I too am a descended from Benjamin Green.

He arrived with his son, William Green (who I am also descended from), and other family in Adelaide, South Australia. They were aboard the ship named "Mariner".

Are you living in Adelaide?

Hi - I am descended from William via his son George Worden Green. I am part of the rogue branch that stayed in Victoria after the family went back to Adelaide, so I am in Melbourne. Have been over to Adelaide several times in recent years and visited the cemetery in Hindmarsh.

I am not related but will list Benj's siblings in case someone decended from them stumbles upon this query.

WM 08 Apr 1804

BENJ 27 Jan 1811
(FreeREG)

There is also a Burial 12 Jan 1811 for a RICH Green age 38 (1773)

Given Mary was widowed so young she likely remarried.

Is this her in 1841 living near Benj/Hannah?
