Help understanding WW2 Navy service papers
« on: Sunday 27 June 21 13:25 BST (UK) »
Hello

My great uncle Frank Osborne died on HMS Barham in November 1941. I have just received copies of his service papers. However, there are several parts of it I don't understand, symbols and abbreviations, 'prize money' etc and I wondered if anyone can help me?? Any information is much appreciated! Thank you

Welcome to Rootschat  :)

There are several RN experts here on RootsChat who may be able to decipher the relevant sections of your great uncle’s service record.

Take a snip of the relevant sections and attach the files here as jpg’s using the ‘Attachments and Other Options’ box below the Text box. Make sure you have a unique file name.

Good luck  :)
