Lillias KILGOUR 1832-?
« on: Tuesday 29 June 21 23:19 BST (UK) »
Can anyone find a death for this lady or what happened to her.

She was born Kinglassie in 1832 daughter of Robert KILGOUR and Agnes PEARSON.

Have found her in 1901 census with her sister Margaret LANDALE at Leuchars, but nothing after that. Margaret died 13 May 1911 at Cupar.

A number of online trees have Lillias' death the same date as Margaret's but I can find nothing on ScotlandsPeople to verify this.

Apart from her sister Margaret all the rest of her siblings, plus her mother, went to New Zealand or Australia, but doubt she would have come downunder. She was 68 in 1901.

Hoping some fresh eyes can find her.

Many thanks.

Margaret did leave a will and it is available on scotlands people as follows -

Ref SC20/56/11 & SC20/50/93 - Cupar Sheriff Court Wills - Margaret Landale or Kilgour widow of Thomas Landale.

As CaroleW suggests it might be worth spending around £5.00 to see if her sister Lillias is mentioned in her will.

I''m trying to work out cause - certainly she had a fractured head of femur, senile decay and bedsores.

Any idea of the first line?

Thanks everyone that looks to be her. Did not think to look in another county. They did not move around much.

The Lillian who married Charles Russell was a cousin.

With three Kilgour brothers marrying three Pearson sisters some names are quite often repeated which can make it difficult finding some of them.

Can now be closed.
