Triangulated segments.
« on: Monday 12 July 21 16:03 BST (UK) »
Hello.

I have a group of shared matches im intrested in who all triangulate with me on chrome 18.on MyHeritage. There are other shared matches who dont triangulate.People have tried to explain the difference to me,but i still cant properly understand it.Is it the case that the ones who triangulate all lead back to the same specific ancestor? If so,what of the ones who dont?I was thinking maybe a sibling, but ultimately they would still lead to the same ancestor one more generation back.
Please can someone explain in very simple laymans terms how it works.

Many thanks.

The simple answer is yes they descend from a common ancestor
