Could anyone tell me if there are Monumental Inscriptions for YULE in Smailholm Churchyard, notably James Yule (an officer of the Church buried there in 1850) and his wife, Henrietta Yule?

Borders Family History  Society  have a CD that you can order for Smailholm.

I remember viewing these free at the library in Kelso.

82 In memory of JEAN DARLING wife of GEORGE YULE who died 1.8.1828 aged 66 years JEAN YULE daughter of GEORGE YULE Mellowlees who died 13.8.1806 aged three years also of AGNES YULE his daughter who died 23.10.1812 aged 11 years.
83 In memory of JOHN YULE who died at Mellowlees 11.3.1878 aged 79 years.
84 Here lies the body of THOMAS YOOL who died 11.1.1783 aged 78 years also ESTHER FORSAN his spouse who died 8.6.1784 aged 70 years also PETER YOOL their son who died 13.10.1810 aged 75 years also AGNES WILSON his spouse who died 9.9.1808 aged 75 years.
Reverse: In memory of CATHARINE YULE daughter of THO- MAS YULE and ESTHER FORSON who died 28.10.1827 aged 75 years also WILLIAM YULE their son who died 25.12.1827 aged 85 years.

There is another entry about 1930. you can but the MI fro Borders Family History Society.
