Mary Hey of Eastham 1634
« on: Friday 23 July 21 11:37 BST (UK) »
My 8th. Grt. Grandmother, Mary Hey was baptised 18 Jan 1634 in Eastham. I have her marriage to a Robert Corfe 8 Dec 1657, again in Eastham. Looking for confirmation/information that she was the daughter of Robert Hey, b. 1608 in Eastham, married to a Margerita Picke 10 Oct 1624. Margareita was poosible b. 1605, West Kirkby.
Also, could Robert Hey be the son of a John Hey, b. 1577 at Woodchurch?
TIA

There are some wills in Cheshire Archives that might help.

Robert Hey, of Eastham, shoemaker, 1613
John Hey, of Eastham, husbandman, 1617
John Hey, of Eastham, yeoman, 1618
Jane Hey, of Eastham, widow, 1624

Cheshire wills are also on findmypast.
Added:
I just checked and all these except Robert 1637 are on findmypast.
He is certainly listed on the Cheshire Record Office site, so I'm not sure what has happened there. I tried all sorts of searches for it.
I have come across the odd one just missed off the filming.
familysearch has Cheshire wills on microfilm you can view for free from home if you're signed in. You might be able to find it on one of them - it will be a matter of trawling through the right film. You might think it's worthwhile getting a copy from Cheshire RO! Not very expensive. That's if they're working and copying things at the moment .
