There is the 1851 Census; the 1861 Census and almost nothing in between.  There is the 1855 Valuation Rolls (property), but it doesn't list everyone who lives at a particular the dwelling just the tenant who pays the rent.

For West Campbell there are 4 Campbell's who are tenants a Mrs. Campbell, two John's a James and a William.  There is no Campbell on Renfrew Road but there is a Samuel on West Street.

And be careful, there are 213 Campbell's listed in Paisley's Valuation Rolls.

You can look these up for yourself

https://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/advanced-search#{%22category%22:%22valuation%22}

You will need to register first if haven't been on Scotland's People which is free as are the indexes.

I guess this is the family in 1841  West Campbell St

CAMPBELL   James      60   Cotton Hand Loom Weaver   RFW
CAMPBELL   Janet      50      RFW
CAMPBELL   William      26   Silk Hand Loom Weaver   RFW
CAMPBELL   Andrew      24      RFW
CAMPBELL   Cunningham   22      RFW
CAMPBELL   Hugh      20      RFW
CAMPBELL   Janet      18      RFW

As already posted I do not see the connection with the year 1857, I found this through Cunningham he does not show up on freecen in later years.

Alexanderina, would you give us more information on the insurance list, please?
Is it an official document? Who was it written by? Was it written in 1857 or earlier? The ages don't appear to tie in with their 1857 ages. Perhaps their ages when insurance was taken out?
I think the father James has died by 1861, is this insurance concerning his death?
The more information you give, the easier it becomes to help.
Also, what information you are hoping to find?

I came across this list of names in my late mother's paperwork. By 1857 both parents had passed. In 1848 both parents returned from Canada where the had spent 3 years staying in Quebec.  I think that this handwritten list had been given to them after the death of the parents. This is all the information I have. I would just like to know more about this family . Thanks Alexanderina .

Hi  Alexanderina, I am having difficulty finding any records for the family mainly because it is not clear what year exactly was the information recorded for the names posted.

For instance the unusual name of Cunningham, I can only find two in Scotland.

This is likely to be the one referred to earlier, maybe?
CUNNINGHAME CAMPBELL
ALEXANDER CAMPBELL/JANET BRYAN FR117 (FR117)
25/04/1779 Stevenston, Ayrshire.

ROBERT CUNNINGHAM CAMPBELL
PETER CAMPBELL/JANET CUNNINGHAM
born 10 DECEMBER 1846 baptised 29 DECEMBER 1846
GREENOCK - SIR MICHAEL STREET RELIEF

The parents you refer to, do you know their names, did they die in Scotland.

Colin
Clarke, Trickett, Orton, Lawless, Norton, Detheridge, Kirby, Goodfellow, Wagstaff, Lowe, etc.
