George Dickson or Dixon , my ancestor b 1808 Eskdalemuir died in Cumberland date place unknown wife Mary Harkness b 1805 Kirkpatrick Fleming d 1875 Kirgunzeon Kirkcudbrightshire Scotland. Principally George parents who I think may be Charles Dickson / Dixon and Joan Little who married at Canonbie .

No Mary Dixon or Dickson death 1875.  Mary died as Harkness.   Her mothers maiden name is shown on the death entry as Crone.

Yes i have it says widow of George Dickson . Her parents James Harkness Weaver ie occupation mother Fanny Crone . I have researched he’d the Crone or Cron family of Kirkpatrick Fleming via a professional researcher . I just have no idea which James Harkness is her father I assumed it was a James Harkness from Tower of Sark Near Gretna which is off the Dalgarnock Covenanter Harkness line . As for George Dickson he was last seen with his wife listed as Marie Dickson and children at Temple Sowerby Cumberland 1861 hope I remembered the correct date . But most trees of my relatives and George Dickson birth entry states the father was Charles Dickson mother Joan Little . Also the 1851 census at Hole Canonbie backs this up where they are all mentioned . The 1841 census at Greenwrae Half Morton says he was born 1811 .
