His 1892 entry in parish marriage register lists his father as Edward Argles Bishop, occupation shown a Corn Merchant (?).

Have you checked GRO online to establish his mmn?

You can then use freebmd to determine parents marriage

Use www.familysearch.org to look for the family on the various census entries
