St Catherine's Church, Wickford, Essex
« on: Tuesday 24 August 21 07:25 BST (UK) »
I'm helping a friend trying to locate where her grandfather is buried in St Catherine's graveyard.

Her grandfather is Norman George Caulfield born 1899 and died in 1957. My friend knows he is buried in St Catherine's graveyard and that he has no headstone, she has enquired at the church but records were lost in the floods. There is a group of 4 graves next to each other and believes one of those graves is her grandfather.

Is there any way of finding out exactly where he is buried in the graveyard?

I  would  have suggested Essex  record  office,  but   if they  were  they  lost  in floods before   the  records were passed to ERO I  don't think  there will be any  other record?
But  worth  a  try just  in case
