What happend to John Scott Anderson and Jane Harvey family?
« on: Monday 30 August 21 02:23 BST (UK) »
I have been trying for a quite a while to find out what happened to my x2 great granduncle John Scott Anderson and his family. I didn't know whether to put this in Antrim or Down forums as he was born in Drumbeg and lived in Belfast in different places which come under Antrim or Down depending on the area so I posted this in both forums.

John Scott Anderson was born in Tullyard, Drumbeg on 1st June 1867 to Thomas Anderson and Eliza Jane Anderson (Nee Crawley). He married Jane Harvey on 28 Jun 1894 in Gilnahirk Presbyterian Church, Belfast. They had the following children that I know about:

Eliza Jane Anderson Born 1894
Sarah Anderson Born 1898
Agnes Anderson Born 26 May 1900, Tullyard, Drumbeg
Anna Margaret Anderson Born 17 December 1902 Crossan, Drumbeg
Ellen Anderson Born 15 September 1906, Died 16 September 1906 29 Glenwherry St, Belfast
John Scott Anderson Born 1907
Martha Anderson Born 9 Oct 1908, 58 Parker Street, Belfast

Edith Moody McRoberts Anderson Born 24 May 1911, 55 Parker St, Belfast Died 22 Jul 1911, Chamberlain St, Upper Newtownards Road, Belfast

Beyond this, I don't know anything of what happened to any of them except Ellen Anderson and Edith Moody McRoberts Anderson who died not long after they were born.

1901 Census record for them: http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Down/Castlereagh/Gilnaherk/1222814/

The last record I can find for them (which I assume is them) is that they were living in 55 Parker Street, Belfast in 1911: http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Down/Pottinger__part_of_/Parker_Street/222623/

Can anyone help? I am at a loss and would like to find out about what happened to them.

MMN transcribed on IrishGenealogy as Harvey but has been reported. Correct MMN Hanvey.

Thanks. looking at the records, Hanvey is correct, have to make sure to double check recods to make sure I have the correct name spelling.

John Scott Anderson and Jane Hanvey Marriage certificate June 28th 1894: https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1894/10558/5846387.pdf

Looking for the birth record for John Scott Andersons wife, Jane Hanvey. It said that she was 36 in the 1911 Irish Census record so she would have been born 1874-1875. I could only find the one record a Jane Hanvey, born in 1874. (I also searched for Jane Harvey just to make sure it wasn't listed as Harvey by mistake). Is this it would anyone know?: https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1874/03141/2152080.pdf
