Thomas Heaney BN 1846 Glasgow, served 1867-72 Constable
« on: Monday 30 August 21 15:07 BST (UK) »
I am trying to trace relatives of the above, Father Gfather. The constable has served Wicklow through Supt Hillson.
Links appear by father as Longford Abeylara.

Assistance greatly appreciated.

Looking for the father of the constable, also called Thomas Heaney, noted in Glasgow 1846.

Yes thats me. I feel he spent his childhood in Longford, but served as a constable when he grew up in Wicklow

I have also posted this on the other board - not sure where to post etc  :-\

Thomas is in England in 1881, after his marriage.

1881 2708/109/14
He is a Police Constable in Wolstanton and born, Lanarkshire, Scotland.

Are you saying he served in Wicklow before his marriage and his connection to Longford is through his father?
