Thomas SHANNAHAN and family, Rhode Island ex NZ

I am assisting a family researcher with their research on the Shannahan family of New Zealand.  I have no family connection.  I have limited access to US records but found the information below on FamilySearch.  I am looking for any information on this family.

Thomas Shannahan, age 55, born At Sea (England/NZ 10 June 1875?), Dairy Farmer
Mary Shannahan nee O'Malley age 55, born New Zealand
Thomas Edward Shannahan age 13 born 16 April 1917, Greymouth, New Zealand
James Michael Shannahan age 11 born 29 January 1919 Greymouth, New Zealand
Margaret O'Malley, Sister-in-Law age 54 born New Zealand

They arrived in San Francisco, California on 4 July 1930 on the ship "Tahiti"
The 1935 Rhode Is State Census records them living at 212 Garden, Pawtucket, Rhode Island
In the 1940 Federal Census they were living in Providence City - Ward 13, Providence, Rhode Island.

Thomas Snr was a Janitor at a Parochial School and Thomas E Shannahan was a Mechanic and a Mill Worker? (hard to read)

Thomas Edward Shannahan married Helen Siekiera (1918-2008).  He died on 13 July 1969, Lincoln, Providence, Rhode Island.  They had a son Paul John Shannahan born 21 November 1953 Central Falls, Providence and he died in 2010.

James Michael Shannahan died on 9 April 1984, Providence, Rhode Island.
