It doesn't give an occupation, just says he is in Newbattle and gives the name of his wife and the minister who carried out the baptism.

Robert Wilson in Newbattle &
Mary Grieve (baptd by Mr Paton)
minister at Kerringtown (or Primrose)

James Paton was actually the minister at Carrington (Kerringtown). The clerk was unsure of the parish and added Primrose as well.

Newbattle is a village just South of Dalkeith, Midlothian and
Carringdon is 5 miles south.

The "Wrights" were generally joiners or woodworkers but also included other trades, shipbuilders, glaziers etc!

Skoosh.
