Shelford family of Great Chesterford
« on: Sunday 19 September 21 22:56 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone.

I have an Edward Shelford baptised 29 Sep 1749 in Great Chesterford, the child of Richard and Ann. I cant seem to find a marriage for Richard and Ann, but there are a lot of trees online showing Richards wife being Ann Walker.

If a marriage cannot be found this early in time, how would they arrive at a conclusion of the surname Walker? Or am I missing something else that can be used to find her surname?

David.

I suppose you've checked out Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire, Gt Chesterford being so close to both.
Concentrating currently on:
Essex: Card, Harris, Stowell, Theobald/Tibbles & Turner.
Norfolk: Beale, Cork & Dalton.
Yorkshire: Oswald Sturdy birth/baptism c1708, Oswald where the devil are you?
