Hello Maggie, Kloumann and Heywood,
The only information I have on Julia Twomey/Tuomey Crowley is her name on her Children Julia 1837 and Michael’s 1839 Baptism records and her death certificate in 1894. Julia Crowley died 20th March 1894 aged 84 years at Fergus, Widow of Jeremiah Crowley, Farmer, Michael Crowley son present at death. I haven’t been able to open your link Heywood. Jeremiah was still alive when his son Michael married Mary Herlihy in 1866. I have scrolled through the records a couple of times in the late 1820’s, 1830’s and early 1840’s looking for a marriage for Julia Twomey/Jeremiah Crowley and anymore children that they might have had. I am aware that some of the early records are illegible. I thought that I had found a daughter, Ellen Crowley who married a Denis Dennehy. Ellen died in 1901. In the 1911 census for Cronody Jeremiah Dennehy (grandson of Ellen and Denis) is listed on the farm of Jeremiah and Julia Crowley Callaghan as a nephew. Julia Crowley Callaghan died in 1911. Informant on Jeremiah Callaghan’s death in 1923 is Jeremiah Dennehy here he is listed as a cousin.
Patrick Crowley born 1885 son of Michael Crowley/Mary Herlihy migrated to Brisbane in 1911. His son and I are share DNA. Also on the ship with Patrick was a David Nagle who worked on the farm of Jeremiah and Julia Callaghan both were employed for a time by my g.grandfather, John O’Callaghan.
Kind Regards
Carol Thomson
