Handwriting Help - Monikie Marriage - James Dick & Jean Lovell
« on: Saturday 25 September 21 13:39 BST (UK) »
Hello,

I'm hoping someone can help me read the parish/location written after James Dick's name on his 1695 marriage record to Jean Lovell?

Jean Lovell appears to be from Monikie and possibly the daughter of James Lovell.

After their marriage the couple seems to have stayed in the Parish of Monikie and ended up living at Fairniefaulds according to the baptism records of their last two children Barbara 1709 and Andrew 1711.

Possible children:

Elizabeth 1698
James 1699
Jean 1701
John 1702
Robert 1703
John 1707
Barbara 1709
Andrew 1711

Thanks so much in advance for any help!

Cheers
Lee
