Are you sure it was a burial & not a cremation?

Which Florence Holness was she as there are 2 deaths in Kent in 1974

Florence Alberta b 1895 - Bridge RD
Edith Florence b 1887 - Canterbury RD - she left a will

The RD for Worth was Thanet

Definitely a burial of Florence Alberta Holness.
We have been through all possibilities of burial in Thanet and sandwich. She died in St Augustine’s in Chartham, which is all very secret squirrel . We were told she was returned to her family after she died. Her family lived in Sandwich and Thanet, her last surviving sister dealt with burial she lived in Thanet and also buried there. So we just don’t know where else she may be.

Have you tried checking with the Undertakers that cover the areas you are searching in. I should think they keep records of who and where they inter their deceased persons.

Yes, we have, they have been very helpful, but no records for Florence.
Just seems very strange that we can’t find her resting place for 1974 yet we can go back a lot earlier in most cases.

If she died in Worth - her death would have been registered in Thanet. 

It was registered in Bridge which means she died somewhere else in Kent.  Would suggest you look at the 1939 register entry for her which will give you some explanation.  We are not allowed to post any info from the 1939 register that can only be obtained via subscription -  you have to look it up yourself
