How old was he when he died to get a possible birthyear?

Although he died in Bucks -what evidence do you have that he was born there?

Have you looked on FamilySearch for a possible baptism?

As you don’t appear to have any details of his wife etc - how does he fit into your FH?

I got lucky, Carole. Someone sent me his will details.
Sometimes it's worth a long-shot!
Cheers,

Great news.   See the will is on Ancestry if you have access.    Wouldn’t like to be the one reading it though😀😀

I don't have Ancestry access, Carole.
I gather it mentions a Mary Armstrong of ?????????? in the Parish of Annan.
It would be useful to know the location. Someone said it looked like Lunefilned, but I've never heard of it!
Cheers,
Bob
