There is a baptism on the free site Lancashire On Line Parish Clerks;

Baptism: 18 Jul 1841 St Peter, Bolton, Lancashire, England
Richard Brooks - Son of Samuel Brooks & Mary
    Abode: Little Bolton
    Occupation: Weaver
    Baptised by: E. F. Manby Curate
    Register: Baptisms 1841 - 1843, Page 12, Entry 90
    Source: LDS Family Search

Do you know the name of Samuel's wife at all?

Otherwise what info do you have please, to know an approx birth year of Samuel's son, Richard?

Places of interest;
Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Southern Ireland, Scotland.
