This copy of the Probate File is / was (I think) different from the LDS copy, in that it has a typewritten transcription of the will pp 1 -  5 which are for the edification of the Justice who was determining the distribution of the Estate cash assets (ie the Bunting children were among the bequests)(and the elder Costello children (ie the ones not of majority age)) but in the 1908 - 13(?) period, the administration of  farming and other assets in trust, there wasn't enough money to fully meet the bequests. (Source personal communication Marie G, Maureen C, TDC: 1990 - 2015).

There is also an error / misdescription in the typescript and handwritten will with regard to the name of "Birchdale" - I was told that it was originally named "Patoa" (Source personal communication Marie G, 2005), then later known as Rosemorn, which was (re)named by "the girls" (Source personal communication Marie G, 2005) as a more appropriate name: here it is named "Birchdale" - this is a different freehold and leasehold farm about two miles away. Patoa Settlement (defunct?) is also the name of about 12,000 acres below "Clonmel", The Peaks - William tried to get Eliza Jane on a land grant ballot for some of it in the Crown Land distribution - but the Land Court denied them the chance. This land is very tough (shingle) country.

Now named "Carraig" and includes "The Grange".

"Birchdale" was the farm of John P. and Oonah (nee Costello) O'Carroll.
