Do you know the first name of his wife by any chance?

There were the following marriages, both at St Botolph, Boston;

11.6.1802, by Licence - John Richardson, Bachelor and Ann Bell, Spinster. No other clues such as occupation or age.

9.8.1810, by Banns - John Richardson, Bachelor and Elizabeth Atkinson, Spinster. Again no occupation or age has been given.

(From Lincolnshire marriages on Find My Past).
Places of interest;
Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Southern Ireland, Scotland.

Any clues as to his birthyear which would help with a timescale for marriage?

How do you know he was a boatwright?   Have you found him on any census?

Have you found any baptismal entries for his children which should show his wife's name

Thanks everyone, I have a press cutting about his brother Edward Todd Richardson, Mariner who had a vessell made by his brother John at Boston, E T R was a son of Andrew who was a shipwright from Sunderland and also had been at Kings Lynn when E T R was born around 1815, he had another brother a boatwright at Spalding as well. looks most likely John married the widow Harriet Green, His father Andrew came from Sunderland to Kings Lynn around 1912. Census for 1861 gives John from Sunderland so he was most likely born 1811 before his father left there. Seems they had at least one daughter Anne or maybe more children if the visitors in 1861 were grandchildren.
