I've been using FTM for donkey's years and keep upgrading to the latest version. FTM2019 upgrade contains a lot of not very useful stuff - like weather forecasts for dates in the past.

But there is one thing in there which imo makes the upgrade worthwhile - rollback. FTM keeps a record of the last 1000 changes you made. If you discover you did something wrong you can rollback to a particular change, and redo as necessary. I've found it useful a couple of times.

There is a thing called treevault where you can store a backup of your tree - minus the media. Seems pretty pointless to me but I do all my own backups automatically to a cloud service.

So, all in all it's not really worth it in my opinion.

I've used FTM since 2006 but don't take advantage of all the upgrades.  I only upgrade every 5 or 6 years and manage ok the rest of the time.
