David Davies 1810-1874 Pontyberem
« on: Thursday 23 December 21 14:33 GMT (UK) »
Hello

Looking for any newspaper articles that may refer to his death, as they may give more details. He died of an accidental death on 24 Nov 1874. Address Colebrook (Gwendreath) Office, Pontyberem, Llannon.

On the death certificate it sates an inquest was held "Information received from J D Rowlands deputy coroner for three Commotts Carmarthen. Inquest held 27 Nov 1874".

Given that there was a Coroner's inquest I am hoping that there maybe more details in the newspapers somewhere about his death. I have tried searching, but with no luck to date.

Thank you

The only thing coming up for that year for Nov. is a David Davies, visiting his brother in Pontyberem who was shot at (blowing his hat off) and who was in a faint for some time afterwards, but this event was not on the date you quoted either. Did the death occur at Pontyberem or was that just where he lived ?

The address given (Coalbrook) is in Pontyberem, but whether that what was the accident occurred I don't know
