Imprisoned at 13

When Frederick Henry Wood of Coningsby, Lincolnshire was 13 years old, he was in the habit of placing halfpennies and pins on the nearby railway lines to see them get flattened.  Then one day in 1875 in the parish of Dogdyke he tried with a metal nut and managed to derail the train! 
He got six months with hard labour.

I imagine that he was sent to Lincoln Gaol and would have been due to be released in July 1876.
There are birth, baptism and census records for the poor lad up until his incarceration, but I cannot find any record of him thereafter.  He was born in January 1861, baptised the following month at St Michael’s Church in Coningsby and the 1861 census shows the family living at nearby Scrub Hill.

I’m really curious to discover what happened to him, but I think I’ve exhausted all on-line avenues.  Can anyone help?

Here is a possible in 1881 census to further explore. Is he with relatives from the extended Wood family?

Thank you Neale1961, but I don’t think that’s our man.  I can trace this chap back to his birth and baptism at Mareham on the Hill.

Yes, it was that very article which led me here in the first place.  A subsequent article in the same publication dated 14th January 1876 covered his sentence and described him as 13 years old.

Dogdyke seems to crop up a few times in connection with railway accidents.... I wonder if searching the local library reference section would bring up specialist books that might help regarding your chap??

There is a Fredrick Wood on the 1881 Census at Market Staunton born in the right place but age is 2 years out. He is a waggoner/agricultural. There is a William Wood who is born same place also there, could be his father?
