John Bell, born abt 1830 Ireland, emigrated New York 1846

I have found the emigration record of John Bell, who emigrated to New York, with his cousin Francis Marshall Lennox, maybe not on same ship. Trying to find John after emigration and trying to figure out the connection to Francis. For him to be a cousin, his father must be named Bell, and his mother either Lennox or Marshall, because the parents of Francis are Andrew Lennox and Elizabeth Marshall. Thanks for any help

Your Francis M Lennox, a teacher, seems to have spent all of his American life in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He is living in a hotel with in Bart Township in 1860. Born 1832 in Ireland, died 1914 in Quarryville, Lanc. Co, Wife Abigail Hershey.

I haven't yet found a John Bell born in Ireland about 1830 living in Lancaster Co. There is one in Lancaster City Jail in 1880, but he said he was born in Maryland. There is no column for birth year on this form for jail inmates.

edit: Note: ancestry has a man John Bell registering for the army in 1863 in Philadelphia. They say his residence is Lancaster, but the image says Lancaster Pike, which was probably the main road from Phila. to Lancaster.
