Anne Bremner born abt 1777 Wick
« on: Friday 14 January 22 11:06 GMT (UK) »
This site has proved so helpful in the past back again as going around in circles looking for the birth record of Anne Bremner born about 1777 ,Wick, Caithness. Parents Alexander Bremner abt 1748-1778 and Isobel More abt 1751. Both Wick. Various name spellings on both parents surnames. Siblings James 1759, Andrew 1772, John 1774, are ones so far found. Not sure if parents married as no definite evidence. I know Anne married James Gunn 1799 and had a family in Wick.  Grateful for any guidance/help. Seen Bremner. Com site and all usual sites with many wildcards thrown into search engine. Many thanks

Scotland's People has just two recorded baptisms of children to Alexander Bremner and Isobel More (using name variants for him and is* m*r* for her). John in 1774 and an unnamed child in 1789.

There are no recorded children of Alexander Bremner (using name variants) without a mother's name in Wick betwen 1750 and 1800.

This means that the baptism records of Anne and any other siblings, if they ever existed, have almost certainly not survived.

I see that there is a death of a James Bremner, mother's maiden surname More, in Wick in 1859, aged 81. Presumably a brother of Anne, John and the unnamed child.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.
