Minorue Wada St Vincents Convent, Watford
« on: Tuesday 08 February 22 19:32 GMT (UK) »
Hello.  I'm interested in any information you may have about a man (boy) called Minorue Wada, who according to the 1911 census was at the St Vincent Convent in Watford (aged 4).  In particular do you know how he came to be placed there, and by whom,  and at what date/time did he leave the Convent, and where did he go.   I dont have any further info about him till the 1930s, when he married.
He is the grandfather of my son in law.
thanks for any help.

Welcome to Rootschat, Roger  :)

I can’t see him in 1911- maybe not transcribed properly. However there is this birth:

Minorie George Wada , 1907, Lambeth with a mother’s maiden name Everett.
You can see it here
https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/login.asp

There is a marriage in Westminster, 1906 where Sada Wada and  Maude Emily Everett are on the same page.

1911 - Maude Wada

And there is also a marriage 1930 for Maude E Wada.

Of course, this may not be your family but is worth looking at.

You could check 1921 census on Find my Past - it looks as though Maude and ‘Minnie G’ are together. You can download a copy of the census for a small fee.

FindMyPast has him transcribed as Monorue Wada in Watford in 1911. It is correctly transcribed.
