MacNeal genealogy (Archibald Campbell) - Reverend Charles Stewart
« on: Friday 11 February 22 15:16 GMT (UK) »
Hi, I was told you might be able to help.  I am looking for the document:

“the MacNeal genealogy compiled in 1748 by Annabell's brother, Archibald Campbell of Danna, Sheriff Clerk of Argyll”.

It is described here, by the renowned genealogist A. I. B. Stewart:

Fwiw, the referenced Annabella Campbell married Rev. Charles Stewart, my ancestor.  This "MacNeal geneaology" appears to hold the answers to many of my genealogy questions.

Does anyone know where I might be able to find assistance to located a copy of this key document?

Thanks so much for any help you can provide,
William Stewart

The National Library of Scotland should have a copy of the magazine.

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.
