Challinor

Hi, is anyone researching the Challinor family from Shropshire, via Denbighshire to Liverpool?
I've got Richard Pee marrying Ann Hawwood in Walsall, Staffs in 1801. Their daughter Ann Marie Pee married Edward Challinor in Ruabon in 1818 and they eventually settled in Liverpool. After Edward died in 1834 she married John Owen in Shrewsbury in 1835. They then moved back to Liverpool.

I'm trying to figure out who Richard Pee's father is. I think that going backwards from 1801  there may be links to Sheinton and other Shropshire places.
Thanks for any help

Can't help with his parents yet, however the marriage of Richard PEE and Ann HAWWOOD was at St Matthew, Walsall on 27 July 1801. Witnesses were Ambrose APPLEBY and John SMITH. (Richard, Ann and Ambrose signed by mark.)

Was Richard a builder? I notice a dissolving of partnership between a Richard PEE and Henry TRUMAN builders in Birmingham in 1828.

Hi.  Richard is (or was) an engineer.  Nothing mentioned about housebuilder anywhere but it could always be part of the family.

Thanks for your suggestion.

I'll also check the surnames interest boards.  I haven't used RootsChat for a long time so I had forgotten about that.

Thanks

Might be coincidence but the 1841 has a Richard Pee living in Woolton Liverpool.  In 1851 he is in Droylsden - birthyear/birthplace 1805 Willey - Shropshire.  1841 occ = gamekeeper & in 1851 he's a police constable

Wondered if he could be a son of Richard & Ann
