Baptism for John Beare c1781 Crondall Hampshire
« on: Thursday 24 February 22 12:50 GMT (UK) »
Hi
Can anyone find this baptism (and therefore parents) please?
I just can’t see it anywhere.
He married Jane Maria Dooley in 1820 in Aldershot and lived and had children in Aldershot also.
Many thanks.

Did John die before the 1851 census as I can't see an entry for him.

In 1841 he is living in Crondall & shown as born in county - but that doesn't prove he was actually born in Crondall.

FS have this entry

Not sure if this is relevant - but a William Faigent was buried at Crondall in June 1777. (Actual date is hidden by the join of 2 pages). No age or any other info given.

Hi,

It looks like they got married later,

Sorry it was James not John  :-[ :-[

All Saints, Crondall
Banns 1785
James BEAR & Anne FAIGENT, Widow
Both of this Parish
25 Sep
02 Oct
02 Nov

Married by Banns
Marriage 02 Nov 1785
Witnesses:  Johnathan COX, James LIMING

All made their mark so different spellings might turn up.
James LIMING is a witness on a lot of the marriages so could be a professional witness.

Regards,
Daisy

Interestingly there was a baptism of a William Faigent - son of William and Ann at Crondall on 23 Aug 1777 -- so a couple of months AFTER the burial of the William Faigent, who may have been Ann's former husband.

Again I can't find a marriage of a William Faigent to an Ann - to discover her maiden name.

Daisy? No pressure!! (Only joking!)
