Keep going!
« on: Saturday 03 September 05 16:23 BST (UK) »
I just want to encourage any other beginners such as myself who have reached a brick wall amazing things can happen with through this site, after a simple request for information I have been contacted by a relation I never knew existed who is going to put me in touch with an even closer relation.  Within half an hour I had received photos of my gg grandparents and g grandparents, which noone in our family had ever seen.  It is really exciting and quite moving.  :) ;D ;D ;D

Fantastic Pippet I know just how you feel  ;D
I recently traced my dads cousin, who had a wonderful photo of her parents wedding. It had her dad and all 5 of his brothers(one of whom was my grandad) and one sister on.

Also on it was my dad, age one being held by my grandma- wonderful stuff.
She then had a rummage through her photo box and found one of my grandparents and my dad age 9 on hols in Bournemouth in 1933.

Before that the earliest pic I ever had of my dad was age 18 in the Air Force.

Hope this new found rellie leads you on to even more of the family.

All the best

Carol
