Welcome to Rootschat!

Date of birth given on death reg is 10 March 1920 but no birth reg in Leeds area for that name at that time. But, there is a birth reg in Hawick 1920 for a Thomas Nichol Young.

More than one George Young registered at Hawick between 1915 & 1925 and a Jessie Cunningham Young registered 1916.

You need to buy some credits on ScotlandsPeople and you'll be able to look at their birth certificates and move on with the details from there.

Thank you , I have a copy of his birth certificate from Scotlands people but am unable to find his death certificate, I have tried both Scotland People and GRO as death was in Leeds .
Did you get sight of DC ? If so where did you locate this

am unable to find his death certificate, I have tried both Scotland People and GRO as death was in Leeds.
Scotland's People only has certificates for events that took place in Scotland, so the only place you can get the death certificate from is the GRO.

The attached is a screenshot from https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/indexes_search.asp - note that his middle name is spelled Nicol in the GRO index.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Thank you, I have ordered it now. Are there any Young relations still in Hawick?

Are there any Young relations still in Hawick?

Young is a very common surname i.e. if you post the names of Thomas' parents, his mother's maiden surname, where & when married, people will be more able to relate to that specific family.
