« on: Tuesday 08 March 22 15:26 GMT (UK) »
Can some very kind soul do a look up for me?
Pershore Holycross church registers 1538-1640
BMDs for the Harrisons of Caddecroft (Caddicroft etc) Farm, in particular William Harrison (gent) and family. I have sent for his will of 1578, he had a son ? William who was involved in a disturbance at Pershore in 1606 (TNA records) I have also sent for the will of Maria Harrison (widow) 1629 prob widow of William the son. also bapt. Margaret dau of William, born about 1580 ish.
Many thanks in advance to anyone who can spare their valuable time to do this look up ;)
Kind regards, Nigel

Hi
Here's what I can see ,not sure how much help it is.

William Harrison bapt Pershore 8.8.1541 son of Rychard Harrison
Siblings Joane or John 1542 (no date) ,William 31.12.1546,Kathetrine 6 Dec 1548 and John 18.6.1552

Maria buried April 1628 and Williand (could be William) 12.6.1617.

Elizabeth d of William Harryson bapt 5.2.1544  is the only other christening 1500-1582.

Perhaps the son William junior's children-
Elizabeth 21.12.1579 at Cropthorne -all the rest at Pershore William 15.6.1582, Lucy 5.1.1584,Lucy 15.7.1592

William Harrison married Fladbury Isabella Norris 20.1.1608 -probable children
 Elizabeth 19.2.1610,Child 27.6.1614 ,Margaret 27.2.1617,Margerie 24.2.1618 ,William 9.10.1622,William 26.2.1625 ,William 23.2.1626 ,Margareta 1.3.1633 buried 4.5.1639 , Thomas 1638, William 22.4.1641, son 8.11.1641,

Elizabeth no parents bapt 30.3.1616

There is also a Will for a Ralph Harrison of Caddicroft gent 12.10.1644
Sons Raphe bapt 7.4.1622 ,John 19.9.1624,Sara 3.9.1629 and Elizabeth 14.10.1632
Early possible children at Cropthorne
Mary 25.4.1613 -30th July,Sophia 25.11.1615,Sophia 25.2.1616,and William 30.5.1619.

A star court procedding at the National Archives for 1606 states Ralph is the son of William Harrison even if I can't see a baptism.
In 1623 Ralph was broken into by a George Allen of Par.Again National archives.

That covers everything I can find 1500-1640 in the parish records.

Hope that helps

;) Thank you for your kindness in giving your valuable time and help.
It does help but as you might guess it leaves many Q,s unanswered. The Baptism of Margaret dau of William was the most important.
My interest stems from the Bovies of Alcester.
Margaret H married John Bovey Gent of Kings Coughton about 1608?...he died Feb 1637 aged 73,
Margaret widow of Mr Bovey then married Sir John Keyte of Ebrington Glos. Margaret Dau of William Harrison of Caddicroft. (Burkes extinct Baronetices)
The marriage of Margaret & J Keyte was at Long Marston 1 Feb 1637 but that can't be right as Bovey was buried 24th Feb 1637 (Gregorian calendar), A codicil added to his will was dated 14 Feb 1637.
If you have the time to check the Long Marston Marriage it would be of great help. The marriage was apparently 1 Feb 1636 (Julian calendar) according to "family search". Apparently Dame Margaret died in 1669, she would be quite aged!
I hope the wills are helpfull?

Kind regards, Nigel

Hello again
That marriage at Long Marston or Marston sicca Gloucestershire
John Kyte 1 Feb  1637  to Margaret Boovey
But I can only see the transcript as the images start 1612 .
Yes I'd think it was actually the Ist Feb 1636 and the poor man died the end of the month.

Sorry

Thanks again.  I was getting confused and thought Long Marston was in Worcs but it was originally in Glos. now in Warks, the surviving registers copies or otherwise from 1603 are held at the Warwick record office.

The marriage date must be wrong as it seems doubtfull she married John keyte 3 weeks before her husband John bovey died. Unless of course this is the wrong John Keyte and Margaret  (Harrison) Bovey ?
