Location of Weggborough
« on: Sunday 13 March 22 10:46 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to find a place called Weggborough where one of my ancestors was sent by Hints Staffordshire poor law 1814/15. Searched on Google no matches it is possibly a defunct name that has a modern equivalent.

It could be written differently ie if you say it out loud and is written as heard rather than the correct spelling, like Wedgeborough or Wedburrow for example.

Unfortunately, I cannot attach the image of the actual script but it is clearly written as Weggborough and would not have been that far away as the Chuch Warden was paid to take one of my ancestors there. |It has to be within a day's trip from Hints Staffordshire.
