Burial Information? - John Robinson d. 1909 Windsor, Ontario
« on: Sunday 13 March 22 22:44 GMT (UK) »
I have a death certificate for John Robinson who died on December 19, 1909 in Windsor, Ontario. I do not know where he was buried. I checked Find a Grave & Billions of Graves but with no success. Any ideas? Thanks.

His second wife was buried 19 January 1922 at Windsor Grove, she died the 17th.

See if John is buried with her or if she was buried with her first husband. Likewise John may be buried with his first wife.

Both death certificates have an address of Cameron Street.

Have you tried obituaries/death notices in the local paper?

Thanks amondg. I believe the first wife, Fanny Ann McKinley may have died in 1887. I am not sure where she was buried. St. John's Anglican Churchyard in Windsor might be a possibility. Is there an easy way to search Ontario cemeteries? I tried the Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid [http://ocfa.islandnet.com/]. Is there any easy way to search obituaries in Ontario? Except for this family, all of my research has been in Ireland, so I really don't know much about researching in Canada.

amondg: How were you able to get the death & burial information for Jane Robinson? Finding Jane's first husband's death/burial information would be helpful.

You could try the "Ask A Librarian" link for the Windsor Public Library, an obituary might give you the cemetery they are all buried in.
