Peters in Balcombe - help please

Hi - I have found the following christenings for the children of Richard Peters and his wife Mary in Balcombe, Sussex:-
George Peters: 23 SEP 1708. Died 26/9/1708.
Richard Peters. 04 SEP 1709.
George Peters Peters. 14 JUN 1711.
Philadelphia Peters. 07 JAN 1712
Sarah Peters. 14 JUN 1715

but I cannot find any earlier references to Richard and Mary, eg their Marriage or births. Can you give me any tips or help? I have found other Peters' in Balcombe at this time and earlier but cannot tie them in. These are:-
Dorothy Peters. 23 JUL 1665. Mother: Peters.
Richard Peters. 27 JAN 1666 Father: Georg Peters.
George Peters: 22 JUN 1691 Father: George Peters.
Mary Peters. 02 NOV 1694 Mother: Susannah Peters.
Mary Peters. 23 MAR 1690 Father: John Peters.
John Peters. 11 JUN 1693 Father: John Peters.
George Peters. 28 JUN 1704 Father: John Peters. Died 25 May 1721.
Richard Peters. 17 JUN 1706. Father: John Peters.

Gavin,

No marriage for Richard Peters and Mary shows up in the Sussex Marriage Index at that time.  You will need to widen your search to parishes outside Sussex.

Until you find their marriage, it would be unwise to link the other Peters records to them.  Richard could be the one baptised in 1666, but you need something else, like a will or a property record to tie the two together.

You could check the catalogue database at
http://www.a2a.org.uk
for any entries of Peters in Balcombe in the West Sussex Record Office catalogues.  You cannot view the records online, but there is usually a pretty good description of what the documents contain.
