Do you have an approximate year of birth?
How do you know she was born in Paincourt?

1800 s   Great grandmother. Mabey born in Chatham  closest hospital  little is known church records destroyed in fire

Civil registration of births in Ontario only began in 1969 so if she was born prior to that there would only be baptism records. There are apparently few baptism records that survive from this time and you note a fire as one cause of same.

Do you have her on any census?

I expect Marie and Lauzon would be relatively common in a French community such as around Paincourt.

Assuming I have found the correct census page, the Marie's appear to be Roman Catholic. There appear to be Catholic baptism records available on Ancestry that go back a fair way if you have a sub that covers Canada. Not much help if you don't which Marie (?) but we'll do our best to help you find your one.

If she is your great grandmother she must have married? Is Lauzon her married name or her maiden name? If maiden name, could you tell us who your great grandfather was?

Edited: And your grandparent who was Marie's child?

More questions than answers at the moment.
