Hi All,

I am helping out a friend work out who this memorial card is of and if they are connected:

John McGowan died 30 March 2002 -  2 Richmond, Elmvale, Wilton, Cork
found this so it seems to be in the Irish Examiner

McGOWAN, John; ; Elmvale Wilton COR IRL; Irish Examiner; 2002-4-1; dja

Noeleen McGowan died 9 July 2004 - Mohill, Co Leitrim
The obituary seems to be in the Irish Times

There are a couple of notices for the Mohill family and this relates to that family.

Irish Independent 6th August 2002
John J McGowan, Yonkers, NY husband of the late Mary and son of John and Ellie McGowan, Hill St, Mohill, August 2nd 2002.

Searching John J McGowan brings up a notice on Legacy.

Perhaps, if your friend has a memorial card for the John from Cork and is also related to the Mohill family, it might be a son of one of the brothers.

Son of Harry.
Rest might be still living so can't name them but his wife was nee Murphy, a son and two daughters.

That seems to confirm it. John from Cork must have been Noeleen’s son.
