« on: Tuesday 05 April 22 16:44 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help please ?  This is a real mystery.  A child RAWLINGS was born in Crewe with Mother PEAKE.   However the records show that a Sarah Ann PEAKE married Sydney D. HEMBROW in 1940 in Crewe. - Then a Sarah Ann PEAKE married Augustus C. RAWLINGS in July 1944, whilst a certain Annie S HEMBROW also married Augustus C. RAWLINGS in Sept 1944 ???  Is it me ??   ??? ??? ???

Apologies - not sure where you have seen the Augustus C Rawlings and Sarah Ann Peake marriage in July 1944.

I can see, via FreeBMD, the marriage of Augustus C Rawlings in September quarter 1944 to surname Hembrow (only 3 names shown with page 893).

Ah, it is possible/probable that the page number for one of the marriage entries has been mis-typed - Annie S to Rawlings is given as page 873, whilst Augustus C to Hembrow is page 893.

What makes this even more confusing is, the names HEMBROW, PEAK AND RAWLINGS are all still in the same family today.
