Some seem to be at the addresses in 1939. I have search the roads and names and found nothing. Could there be a transcription issue as rosie99 suggests:

In Macclesfield not that far from Wilmslow, 19th June was Wakes Week,where all the factories went on holiday,usually to Blackpool. So as Rosie says many people were away from home.
Try seaside areas,or rellies who lived some distance away.

OK, brute force approach.

Can you find Fern Lea on an old map and ID any  neighbouring house names?
Can you then do a 1921 search by address, listing schedule numbers (for named houses) and see which schedule might tally with Fern Lea?

I am only seeing a Fern Bank, Gravel Lane not Fern Lea pre war.  There is a Rose Lea
