Took a while but I finally found Henry's wife!!!

First though, Charles Bartlett, witness at marriage of Mary Jane McKee to Albert Thompson, is likely the same Charles Bartlett who married the following year giving his address as 59 Bentick St.

Charles' address does make a stronger case that Mary Jane is a younger sister of Sarah Ann.

Sarah Ann (McKee) Morell's eldest daughter called Jane (James Morell's mother was Mary according to CWGC). Jane Morell McKee, wife of Henry, died 1897 and daughter Sarah Ann Morell was informant-

Great finds aghadowey.
Just one thing, you have referred to Jane McKee as Jane ‘Morell’ re the death.

I had tried looking for a death for Jane McKee based on the daughter’s name but didn’t think to look that late. I had assumed he was a widower living with his family for a long time  ::).

they've been fantasitc finds! and I'm very grateful. It's given me leads for one of my headscratchers (there's a few)
Getting my hands on Presbyterian records for Bangor 1850-1860 is one of my next missions with this side, that and finding a Marriage for Henry and Jane

Thanks for the correction, heywood. Have amended earlier post to correct Jane's surname.

A few thoughts-
"Bangor" may mean Bangor itself or the nearby area so you might need to widen your search. Also be prepared for gaps in records. Sometimes Presbyterian baptisms only list mother's Christian name but if you do find Sarah Ann's baptism there could be other children in those registers.

Earlier I did check in Ireland and Scotland for a marriage of a Henry McKee & Jane from 1845-1860 (spelling of surname may not be consistant). There is, of course, the possibility that Jane was not Henry's 1st/only wife or the mother of his children so I've expanded the search in Irish Genealogy from 1850-1897 without any result for Henry & Jane in the Belfast/County Down area.

unfortunatly certain things will have to wait till I can get to Northern Ireland and Ireland, maybe in the next year or so. I've waited this long I'm sure I can wait a little longer for Presbyterian records
