Fir information
Henry was in Bentinck Street in 1890.
https://www.lennonwylie.co.uk/bcomplete1890.htm

In 1880, Robert Steele was at that address. Arthur Steele was a marriage witness  :-\
Arthur Steele marriage in 1887 gives father as Robert, a Dairyman.

I realise this has no bearing on the McKee family but places Henry in Belfast from around 1890.

Interesting and thank you, chances are it is the same Henry
Down and Antrim - Orr, Kelly, Murray, Davey, Little, Phillips, McDowell, Morell, McKee, Crothers, Freeburn, Stewart, Holmes, Hill, McInnis.

In 1901 his son-in-law James Morell, a joiner was now living at 59 Bentinck Street.
https://www.lennonwylie.co.uk/bcomplete1901_1.htm

You probably have him and his family in the 1901 census.

James Morell jnr married Jane Todd in 1910. He gave his address as 10 Canning Street and his age as 22 (which was wrong - born March 1891).

I was interested to see that the marriage announcement gives James Morell as 'of Liverpool, Nova Scotia' but CWGC lists him from 'Picton,' [Pictou] Nova Scotia which is about 200 miles from Liverpool. Perhaps he was born in Pictou but working in Liverpool (known for shipbuilding) before he came to Ireland.

Getting back to Henry McKee- I think that perhaps Mary Jane was a younger sister at Sarah Ann McKee's marriage to James Morell in 1881. A Mary Jane McKee, daughter of Henry McKee, married 1891 to Albert Thompson in the same church 10 years after Sarah Ann-
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1891/10665/5886303.pdf (father- Henry McKee, clerk; witnesses- Charles Bartlett, Catherine Porter)
Her father listed as 'clerk' but perhaps his roll was clerk looking after catering facility of some sort?

James Morell himself is a bit of a mystery. Family rumour is that there was a 2nd wife in Canada, who came forward, after his death at sea. He may not have been Canadian at all, that's a brickwall I've given up on for now.

I've seen that marriage record and haven't discouted it,  I've put in in the maybe pile

Wow so those news paper clippings look very promising, the fact the family was able to put notices in the paper, made me think there might of been some money.

Yes that's definatly the other Henry, with Sarah number 1's death

A few more snippets from following the addresses- Dock St., Garmoyle St., Earl St. & Corportation St. all in same area which is known as Sailortown.

1868 directory 6 & 4. Northern Cooking Depot - Mrs. Mathieson, proprietress https://www.lennonwylie.co.uk/dcomplete1868.htm
1880 directory McKee, H., dining rooms, 24 & 26 Garmoyle Street
https://www.lennonwylie.co.uk/alphanames1880mc.htm

The area was badly hit during the Belfast Blitz as the nearby docks were an important target.
