William Brown Dobbin either died Feb 26, 1936 in Lambton, Ontario or 1946 in  Toronto. Looking to confirm date of death and parents' names. William married Emily aka Emma Taylor July 11, 1887 in York Co., Ontario. All children born Toronto. Emily may have also died in 1936 in Lambton or 1944 in Toronto.

He died August 16, 1946 in Innisfil, Simcoe County (north of Toronto) where he had been living for 2 1/2 months with his permanent address being 145 Harding Blvd., Birchcliff, Township of Scarborough, York County. Born 24 July 1861. Had lived in the province and Canada for 60 years. Retired from the Toronto Fire Department (retired in 1916). Born Ireland, widowed, wife's name Emily Taylor. Parents' names not known; informant was his daughter Elizabeth Roy, 216 Kingswood Road. Burial at St. John's Norway. Cause of death was cerebral thrombosis.

When he married in 1887, he was 24 years of age, a brewer, born in Co. Antrim, Ireland; parents names given as Robert & Eliza. Emily was 25, born in Co. Fermanagh, Ireland, living in Montreal, parents' names given as Lewis & Elizabeth

Emily died July 17, 1944 at the same address in Birchcliff, Scarborough Township as given in William's death  She had lived there for 2 1/2 years and had been in the province & Canada for 58 years. Parents are Lewis Taylor and Bessie Denoon.  Date of birth given as August 7, 1862. Informant was Thomas Hamilton, 145 Harding Blvd., son-in-law. Burial at St. John's Norway.

In the 1901 census, also in the household is a Thos. Dobbin, born 21 February 1873 in Ireland, a brother to William, had arrived in Canada in 1895, working as a clerk(?).  I'm having difficulty pulling up his birth on Irishgenealogy.ie since it seems it's been misindexed. I did, however, find a possible marriage in 1914 in Norfolk County, Ontario naming his parents as Robert Dobbin & Elizabeth Lennox.  He was 42 and a bachelor.  Wife's name was Mary Elizabeth Jeffrey.

He dies in 1939 in Kitchener with his parents' names given as the same; informant was his wife.
