This is a follow up to a previous post regarding the dolls hospital. Does anyone have knowledge of the names of who owned or worked there, thanks Stoop.

It does mention in the 'Character Shops Merseyside Tales' that the Doll's Hospital was at 64a Mount Pleasant from 1958-1964. So that should narrow down your search. Perhaps look up those dates in the business directories, or call the Liverpool Archive they may have some information on who ran the business. That building was a Tailor Shop for the 40 previous years run by Jacob Mordecai Gussen.

I remember my mum taking my various dolls to The Dolls Hospital when the arms or legs came off & my dad couldn't repair them.  It must have been somewhere else pre-1958 as Mount Pleasant was a bus ride away from where we lived & I was well out of dolls by then as I was 12 & at grammar school
