Just a heads up for anyone who hasn't used these before and has trouble locating perhaps a BMD announcement in the old papers.
The OCR is often hit and miss and a name search often fails to bring up anything relevant (though the garbled synopsis can be be very entertaining!).

If, for example, you have an approximate date of death/ burial then its worth paging through day by day for a few days either side. I've found quite a few that way which failed to come up in a name search.
If you do find a death announcement, looking on the anniversary of the death date for an In Memoriam notice is also worth doing as they may have names of close family members which may help your research.
