Searching for marriage record Margaret Smith Liverpool

Need help searching for marriage records for Margaret Smith born Liverpool 1908 parents Harry Smith and Eleanor Sandford. She had a son called Jackie Lee/Leigh not sure of surname spelling. Any help appreciated.

Look up son's birth to establish correct spelling of surname then look for a marriage between a Smith & Leigh/Lee/Lea

John/Jack or Jackie??  Unlikely to be Jackie.  When did he die?  Birthyear ot birthdate will be on his death reg

Marriage Margaret A Smith and John E LEAHY 1934 St Francis Xaviers Church Liverpool  Could be son Birth John F Leahy 1936 Everton Liverpool, sometimes if name is John called Jack/Jackie.

I've been looking at the same marriage for Margaret and she is with her sister Caroline in 1939 in Liverpool, one closed record maybe the child.
Caroline Tyer Smith married in 1936 to Arthur Walter Beer, address and father confirmed and John Edward Leahy was a witness.

Unfortunately Catholic marriages on Ancestry end at 1933 as her fathers name could have been checked to see if it's the right one.

Is the son deceased?  If not - his name needs to be removed in accordance with Rootschat's no living persons policy

Arthur Beer was his uncle. What is a closed record ?

Redacted entries on the 1939 register means the person is under 100yrs old or they have no trace of a death
