Spillanes of Ballyvirrane are confusing me

Hello all,
My Spillane line is causing me a few headaches, which is not unusual.

My 2 x great grandfather, Peter Spillane, 1846-1927 has a baptism entry on irishgeneaology with his parents as John Spillane and Mary Sullivan.  Subsequent children have the mother of Hanora Sullivan, John is shown as marrying Hanora  Sullivan in February 1845.  I also have the extract from the 1851 census with Norah (Hanora) as the mother.

I figured it was an anomaly that Peter's mother was Mary, as names in my family can be interchanged with middle names and diminutives.

Then, following up on some DNA matches, Peter's younger brother, Patrick, comes up as my half 2 x great grand uncle. So now I  am back to whether Peter did have a different mother, even though he was born after the marriage to Hanora and grew up with her as his mother.

Any thoughts?

Searching Irish Genealogy the parish for Peter is Milltown, images for this parish are on NLI and the mother's name doesn't look like Mary to me, looks like it starts with a H

It also refers to the entry on 29 or 28 June.

The 28/29 June one the entry looks like Hana or Hassie? and the 1/7 entry it looks like Hano then an inserted 'a'.

I would say these are more likely to be Nora, Hanora etc than Mary.

Thank you both for your insights. It does look like Hanora for the 1st July entry. It then doesn't explain Patrick coming up, DNA wise, as a half-sibling. Perhaps it was an NPE.

Is this half relationship showing on ThruLines?
Are you sure your DNA match's tree is correct, or there isn't any difference in spelling of the mother's name?
I had one come up recently as a half because I had the mother as Dunne and my match had Dunn also my niece came up as half because she had her Grandfather's name while I had him as just Private and a third where ThurLines won't accept there were two men with the same name, rather than one married to two different women at the same time.

Hi Sinann,
It was via ThruLines. 
The spellings for Hanora are all the same and then reviewing the relationships that previously had 'half', none of them says it today.  I know I didn't imagine it!

So now I'm confused by ThruLines, not by my Spillanes and at least I have confirmed Peter's mum was Hanora and not Mary.

Ah...some days.

ThruLines takes about three days to process a change made to a tree so if your match or you made any changes since you first looked it may account for the disappeared half match.
ThruLines is handy and can help with making connections but you need to check and double check what it's telling you.
