ancestry half price offers

i know there is a post about this already .

dont know if its same in other countries

but did you know that if you have 2 accounts and one is closed the half price offer is often applicable on the closed account

my worldwide subs run out end july

i will either switch to other account ..Im manager of both
or let it run out and see if i get the offer on present account

have just ordered 3 dna kits ..special offer on them too .

Personally I think these offers are an insult.   If anyone should get a benefit  from Ancestry, it should be those that have done the right thing, by supporting this company and paying their way, by that, I mean the people that have paid out the top premiums for the use of the Ancestry Products.

How about it Ancestry ? Are you ready to give a benefit to those that have benefited you.?

I think Ancestry understands that after reaching a certain point in our research, we slow down and even stop, because we have found everything relevant that's available on their site.  In these circumstances we don't get much use out of the site and it's hard to justify paying out a year's subscription.  I paid full subs for many years, but if I couldn't get the half-price offer I wouldn't be subscribing at all now.

If you cancel your sub, you're likely to get a cut-price offer from Ancestry to try and tempt you to stay.  It's happened to me several times.  They aren't daft - they would rather have a little of our money than none of it.

The offer is only available on 'lapsed' accounts i.e. it doesn't matter how many accounts you have as long as your sub needs renewed then the offer will be available 

I personally can't see why anyone would need 2 subs to ancestry

Special offers are also a way to attract new subscribers, who these companies hope will stay on and continue to pay up.

Oh dear Louisa, it seems the offer may have been pulled around the 1st November.  Sadly no one has been able to get access to it thru that link.

Did come across this telegraph link which is suppose to be for 50% off November 2022 but not heard of anyone so far who has used it

Silly me cancelled my sub on 10th, don't suppose they will reinstate any offer now, ah  well !!

Sub should run until the end of the subscription, even if you cancelled.
