Gaelic Football Team for cleanup
« on: Wednesday 08 June 22 21:54 BST (UK) »
I would be most grateful if somebody could please clean up this old photo for me. my grand father is on the team.it is the only one I have of him in his footballing days. Sadly all of these men passed away many years ago.

Not easy, the nearly horizontal stripes when rotated to vertical should have 'De-Striped ' using GIMP but they stayed so I could only tinker with other settings hoping for some improvement.  I can't judge if it looks any better, cheers, Ian

PS.  If you identify which one is your relative perhaps I can Improve him.

Thank you so much Ian. There are actually two relatives in the photo (which I didn't realise until now)
The 4th player from the left in the back row and also the man standing on the extreme right wearing an overcoat.

Thank you once again I really appreciate this.

I've isolated them and tried to improve them without too much invention of features, however, can you possibly Re-Scan and only select the 2 relatives at the highest resolution possible, say 300 dots per inch or more, cheers, Ian

Hi Johnny,

Do you know the name of the team and roughly when the photo was taken?
Bit of a long shot, but it might be possible to find a better version of the photo online.

Is it possible to add the names of your relatives as well as circa yrs born & where the team came from as it may help others identify their relatives too?
